The Students' Union held an event in the Street on General Election day (Thursday 8th June) to engage students and staff in conversations about why it is important for them to vote. Students and staff were able to pick a coloured pin (according to which party they support) and put it where they live on the map. Over 120 students and staff engaged in theevent including students who were not oldenough to vote, people whodidn't know who to vote for and staff. Students at the College were able to debate and discuss different topics around the Election. Simplified versions of each parties' manifestos were displayed for students to inform them what they were voting for and many also enjoyed taking a selfie with the Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May cardboard cut-outs!
